LanAir's PMA door seal dramatically cuts cabin noise, improving passenger and crew comfort while far exceeding the typical service life of the OEM part.
On a recent flight, LanAir Vice President Dave Lancaster asked a flight attendant if she’d noticed any new improvements in cabin noise on the airliner.
Surprised, she commented that a few months earlier she and her colleagues did indeed begin to notice a significant decrease in the unpleasant hissing from exit doors located next to their jump seats. The cabin was simply quieter, and passenger comfort had improved as well.
Mr. Lancaster commented that he likely had something to do with her improved working conditions - his company’s new PMA door seals were installed on the airliners just a few months earlier.
“Thank you!” she exclaimed... then made Mr. Lancaster’s day when she reached out and gave him a big hug.
While we know we can’t expect that kind of praise every day, at LanAir we do see our success daily through the loyalty of our customers. We've achieved our status as a leading PMA manufacturer by listening to our customers.
So tell us your concerns about OEM parts that are poorly engineered, overpriced… or both. We design quality PMA alternatives that help airlines with their bottom line. Sometimes we also get to make things nicer for passengers and crew as well!
PMA quality means fewer parts used
The LanAir PMA door seal described above has far exceeded the typical service life of the OEM part it replaced. In fact, it was designed so well that today the same customer has cut its usage from 70 units per year to just 5.
The state-of-the-art advantage
Many OEM part designs are years old. Materials technology and design techniques have improved since many OEM parts were introduced.
LanAir uses state of the art CAD, optical measuring and precision test and computation technology in the design and FAA approval process of our PMA parts. Fit checks are conducted on subject aircraft and tolerances are precisely defined and redefined to more accurately adhere to aircraft specifications.
Our engineered parts fit so well that airlines just don't need as many as they did with the OEM. The word is out. Customers worldwide are going to LanAir because of quality. LanAir and LanAir parts... going the extra mile!
